Here we go, first album, first song!
Please, Please Me
Recorded in a single, nearly 13 hours long session struck an album like a bomb and marks the latest (!) Peak of Beatlemania. The cover photo is from Angus McStone whether there is a deliberate parallel to the famous Bauhaus Photography by László Moholy-Nagyy - I do not know, but it could be very possible.

One, two, three, four !
Well, she was just 17,
You know what I mean.
Just begins one of the most professional careers in music history. The Beatles, four young men from Liverpool sent to himself to change the world. They did this at the outset with songs about young love and longing - no wonder that flew them over the years all the teenage heart. That they do today even surprised, not when you look at the influence of the Beatles to today's pop music makes you aware.
The first song, like a Lennon / McCartney composition, goes to the ear, where it sticks. Steeled by years of stage experience at the Star Club in Hamburg, the Beatles in 1963 provide a song that cries out for attention. McCartney's vocals, backed with which they would later become typical antiphonal singing of the other band members singing is clear and fresh. The text speaks to boys and girls who devote much of their young lives, their money and their hopes for the music and love. Paul McCartney and John Lennon knew at that time already over six long years, so they were already a
team.
A nice little song, which can in retrospect, however, already recognize the potential of this band. The poppy text, the catchy melody, a little screaming and a little guitar solo by George Harrison, not to mention the perfect drums Ringo Starr: That was enough.
In Brit Blog, there are always read a lot about the Beatles and related genres, such here. Browse worthwhile.
Beatle beginners, I recommend this beautiful book also here, not too expensive, not too thick, but very well researched and very informative.
